Liu's Cafe - Westwood is a taiwanese restaurant in Los Angeles, California. It is listed at 1108 Gayley Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90024, which places it among the local businesses of Los Angeles that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as chinese restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. Typical hours are 11 amβ9 pm. It is closed on Monday, Tuesday. Los Angeles is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Traffic in Los Angeles peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This was REALLY good, every dish was a hit!!! LOVED the peanut sauce in the cold noodles. And the French toast was literal heaven. The slight crisp outside layering with salt was perfection.

I finally made it! The lines are long for good reason. Short menu but really good! Looking forward to trying everything on the menu. Some counter seating has hooks underneath the counter to hang bags (or purses). Silverware and chopsticks are by the water.

Simple but flavorful and tasty menu. Eveything came out fast and the staff was super friendly. The inside is really cute and has a communal seating arrangement since the bar top is most likely where you'll sit. Expect to wait outside, then inside for a little due to its high popularity right now. Line moves quickly though.

This is one of our favorite lunch places. Supee cute, little restaurant close to Hammer museum. The items on the menu is absolutely delicious and the service is very efficient and friendly at the same time. There is always a long line, but actually the line gets shorter pretty quickly. I love this spot better than the downtown Liu's. Already we are planning to revisit again next week!

We got just about everything on the menuβ¦ so I can confidently say everything at Liuβs cafe is delicious and worth the line!! Once you get inside, the space is decorated beautifully and itβs cool to be able to see the kitchen. Bar seating is a bit tight, but worth it for the food. Standouts were the pandan and coconut toast (just get both), pork belly rice, and the cold noodles. Truly the best food near UCLA, and itβs not even close
